A completely frozen lake lies at the center of this mountainous region. The lake can be cratered and dug into, though most other parts of this map are solid rock and too hard to dent. There are also a few tunnels and cave systems underground to be exploited for more covert travel. Alternatively, some of the cave systems could provide the cover required for a more hidden base.

This hemisphere of this planet has been largely deserted since the outbreak of war. However, before becoming an active front in the current conflict there was a fairly extensive exploratory mining operation. Any resources found underground could be of significant interest to the victor of this battle.
