With the terraforming of this desert planet well underway the massive blue mineral crystals dropped from space and red organic liquid designed to kick-start the development of an ecosystem are all visible in this canyon. The crystals are brittle, however, and can be destroyed fairly easily with explosives. Destroying some of them could open up new avenues through the middle canyon.

This is ground zero for an as-yet-unnamed planet in the middle of being terraformed. While it looks similar to blood, the water here is tinted red because it’s saturated with crimson microorganisms that live in water and feed on the rock here to expel oxygen and other elements necessary for more complex life. The battle here is not so much about current natural resources as the promise of an Eden to come.
