It will be no small task to take these city streets. As the derelict buildings take progressively more damage it will open up avenues for attack from desperate defenders or canny attackers, making every corner and every street a potential death trap. The central park may seem like a welcome respite by comparison unfortunately it will provide no real cover from the onslaught, though it's central position could be useful.
